Edward DuBose Robertson (Owner)
Ed has owned Music To Go Mobile DJ since 1987. He prides himself on being prepared for the job. He is always early and he puts his total focus on the job at hand when he arrives. He is sensitive to the needs of his customers, their friends, and families. Ed has mastered both playing to the crowd and making a guest of honor feel like he/she is the only one in the room. He can have the customers up and dancing or he can play soothing background music for you event. He is willing to interact with the crowd as much or as little as you choose. Ed was born and raised in Charleston, SC. He graduated Middleton High School in Charleston. He was a member of the Greater Charleston Choral Society. He took business courses at the College of Charleston. He has managed several restaurants in South Carolina and Tennessee for over 25 years. He was raised in a family with a musical background. Ed’s father, Dubose Robertson, gave private voice and piano lessons. His father was also the Director of the Greater Charleston Choral Society and served as a Choral Director at various churches in the Charleston area. Ed’s hobbies are collecting music and working with HO Model Trains. He has a 5 ½’ X 20’ HO Train Layout that he takes to shows for people to view.
